Welcome to the 2012 Iowa Regional Volleyball Championships. The Regional Championships is a combination of Qualifying and Non-Qualifying competition. In the qualifying divisions, teams are competing for three bids to the 2012 USAV National Championships in Columbus, Ohio. In the non-qualifying divisions, teams are competing at a year end event to finish their season! This year's event will bring a new look to the championships as we will be hosting 21 courts at the Iowa Events Center in downtown Des Moines, IA. This will give the feel of a National Qualifier to the event!
There will be two weekends to the event this year:
Week 1, March 17-18, 2011: 15s - 18s (Non-Qualifying and Qualifying)
Week 2, March 24-25, 2011: 10s - 14s (Non-Qualifying and Qualifying; 10s and 11s will only be Non-Qualifying)

Courts "HyVee 1 - 20" are located at the HyVee Hall at the Iowa Events Center, downtown Des Moines
Courts "SEP HS 1-6" are located at Southeast Polk High School
Courts "SEP MS 7-10" are located at Southeast Polk Middle School
Courts "SEP SC 11-12" are located at Southeast Polk Spring Creek Elementary School
We will finalize the schedules and seeding the weeks prior to the event. the schedules and real-time results will be available on Advanced Event Systems at http://www.advancedeventsystems.com/VolleyballResults/. Laptops will be available inside the Iowa Events Center for your convenience throughout the event.

In the weeks prior to the event, we will be working around the clock to seed and schedule the event. We hope to release the schedules no later than Monday, March 12 for week 1 and Monday, March 19 for week 2. We will release the it sooner if possible. We ask for your patience as we gather all the necessary information to put the tournament together.
We will e-mail you as well as post the schedules on the website as soon as possible.
Please look for an initial seeding to be sent out to club directors in the weeks prior to the event. Please review and retur asap so that we can get the most accurate information when finalizing the seeds. We would ask that any additional information regarding head to head matches and tournament finishes be provided to substantiate any changes you might request.
NO PRINTED SCHEDULES WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC. Each coach will receive a hard copy of the schedule during the team check-in. Schedules will be available online using the links provided above.
FACILITY INFO & DIRECTIONS
Facilities doors will open at 7am each day. Trainers will be available each day at the Iowa Events Center only. We request that players keep their bags in the designatied areas along the outer walls of the building to avoid clutter and increase space on and around the playing surfaces.

SPECTATOR SEATING & OUTSIDE FOOD
There will be plenty of spectator seating at both venues. NO OUTSIDE CHAIRS OR FOOD WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE EITHER PLAYING FACILITY.

SUNDAY PLAYOFFS
All teams will play on Sunday regardless of Saturday finish. Please be aware that you may finish a pool on Sunday morning before bracket play begins.
REFFING ASSIGNMENTS
Please pay attention to the scheduled reffing assignments in your pool, possible challenge matches, and playoffs.
Also, if you are scheduled for a 9am match in a bracket on Sunday, it is possi you are reffing on your court at 8am.
Teams may also be officiatng on a different court than where they just came from, from pool play in the morning.
Please check the schedules carefully on Advanced Event Systems. Reffing teams are usually noted by box around your team name.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Each division will begin with pool play, approximately half of the field will still have a chance at the championship after the first round of pool play. Challenge matches may be used, please check your respective divisions for more information.
